UGC NET Notification – Exam in November 2017

Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) on the behalf of University Grant Commission conducts the national level exam called CBSE UGC NET. UGC NET Exam checks the eligibility of candidate for the recruitment on the  position of Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship in the Indian well known Universities and colleges.

On June 12,2017, Central Board of Secondary Education has released the notification on their official website that UGC NET Examination 2017 would be conducted in the month of November as Previously the UGC NET is conducted twice the year in the months of July and December.

It was Observed that CBSE has proposed that the National Eligibility Test should be conducted on annual basis.

The complete notification for the CBSE UGC NET 2017 exam about the Application form for the exam in November would be available on the official website cbsenet.nic.in from the month of August.

CBSE UGC NET Eligibility Criteria :

UGC NET Education Qualification:

• 55% marks are compulsory for the candidates in the Master’s Degree OR equivalent exam.
• 50% marks are compulsory for the reserve category Candidates.
• The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by 19th September 1991.
•  Candidate who are in the final year of masters or students whose result is awaited can appear for the exam.

UGC NET Age Limit:

•  The Candidate should not be more than 28 applying for the Award of Junior Research Fellowship.

• No upper limits for Assistant Professors.

Age Relaxation:  

•   3 Years Relaxation in Age will be provided to the candidates possessing L.L.M. Degree.

•   Age relaxation is provided to the candidate having research on any subject of maximum 5 years only if the certificate is produced by appropriate university or institute.
  
• 5 years relaxation is given to the reserve category candidates and the female candidates.
